The hottest trend of season is the infamous Dalgona coffee. It's also matcha, everything. Combine these two together and there's a definite reason these are so popular right now. The Dalgona matcha latte is. incredible.
Now obviously you can make this with any matcha. But like coffee, the quality is what makes all the world of difference. There are different grades of matcha and some are culinary approved, some are not. My person favorite is a matcha made by a company called Hone available here: https://honelife.co/.
Matcha has many health benefits from antioxidants to a good boost in concentration. I also love the non-jittery caffeine surge that coffee just can't give these days.
Now for the recipe. In a large bowl whip the egg white until it's frothy and bubbly. You'll definitely want to use an electric mixer because this would take some serious elbow grease without one.
Once the egg whites are frothy, add the monk fruit sweetener/sugar or whatever you're using as a sweetener. Whip until stiff silky peaks are formed.
Grab a sifter and sift the matcha over the egg whites. Whip again until the matcha is fully incorporated.
Place ice, pure vanilla, and milk in a glass and simply scoop the matcha mixture on top! You're done!
1 egg white
1 teaspoon Hone matcha powder
1 tablespoon monkfruit sweetener (or other sugar substitute)
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
In a large bowl, whip egg white until frothy. Add sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.
Sift matcha powder over the egg mixture and whisk until smooth and incorporated
Add ice, vanilla, and milk to a cup and top with whipped matcha mixture.
