Baked Honey Butter Brown Sugar Ribs

If you got some time, and you got some ribs, you gotta make this recipe.

It's insanely easy. Just throw the rub and honey butter sauce on and pop her in the oven.

They say the best ribs are cooked low and slow. You can't rush perfection! These are the definition of tender. They don't stay ON the bone.

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

First make the simple spice blend that we're going to rub on the ribs. This consists of 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.

Now we make the honey butter sauce. Start by melting 4 tablespoons of butter and combining it with 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper.

Lay the ribs meat side down and remove the silver lining on the back of the ribs.

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil then parchment paper on top of the foil.

Using half of the dry spices, rub it onto the ribs on both sides. Set the remainder of the spice blend aside.

Place the ribs on the baking sheet, meat side up.

Pour half of the honey butter sauce on top of the ribs and fold the parchment and foil over the ribs creating a pouch.

Place the ribs in the oven for 4 hours and do not, I repeat, do not open them until the 4 hours is up.

After the 4 hours are up, remove the ribs and brush the remainder of the honey butter on top of the ribs, basting them with the dripping from the pan. Sprinkle the rest of the spice blend on top of the ribs.

Turn the broiler on place the ribs on one of the higher racks being careful not to burn the ribs. We want the honey butter to get nice and crispy, about three minutes. Remove the ribs from the oven and enjoy!
